Custom Ice Skating Rinks for Any Venue

Ice Rinks 2 Go Rink Technical Details

Ice Floor Dimensions:
Ice Rinks 2 Go surfaces are usually 38’x68’. It is important to remember that the piping and supports that are used for the dasher boards will make the area needed for the rink larger than the size of the ice surface. At Ice Rinks 2 Go we can design floors in all sizes. For other sizes please inquire.

Move In Labor:
The typical ice surface move in will last 24-36 hours and require a crew of 10 men for unloading the ice skating rink package. For larger systems there will be a need for additional man power and hours. Once the ice arena is set up, then two people will be needed to spray water for 8 hour shifts in 18 to 36 hours to achieve the desired ice thickness.

Move Out Labor:
Ice removal will require 8-24 people. Ice size will determine the number of people needed. The time required for move out will take approximately 8 hours.

Water:
A cold water source will be needed within 100 feet of the ice surface to make and maintain the ice. It will also be beneficial to have a hot water source within 100 feet to help with maintenance of the ice.

Ice Removal:
During the ice removal, trucks will be required to haul broken ice from the arena to the designated dump site. If the dump site is near the ice, removal can be achieved with 6-8 wheelbarrows. If time is available, the ice can be melted and pumped into a nearby drain.

Dump Site:
The dump site can be a small area in a parking lot or anywhere with adequate drainage.
